About: Our Modern Curing Salt No. 1 (Prague Powder), is a gourmet blend that's 93.75 percent table salt and 6.25 percent sodium nitrite. The red dye was added to differentiate it from table salt. Curing meat has been a practical way to preserve meat for centuries. This process is still popular today because cured meats are very tasty.

Note: This product is not to be digested directly but washed off after curing.

Uses: As a brine to cure all meats that require cooking, brining, smoking or canning.
