About: Creole Seasoning is a gourmet house blend that adds boldness and that distinct Cajun twang to seafood and chicken dishes. A certified pantry staple.
A blend this unique could only come into existence with the melting of cultures found in Louisiana. Chiefly, the cultural influences from the French, West African, and Native Americans each played a significant role in creating what we now know as Creole seasoning. The term "Creole" specifically refers to the French descendants that settled New Orleans, pardonnne moi, La Nouvelle Orléans. These French descendants were so culinarily adept; they needed only an introduction to some Italian spices, a couple of Spanish spices and a few years later, Louisiana was home to a new, revolutionary cuisine.
Creole seasoning is refined and versatile enough that it complements an array of savory dishes. Use it as a dry rub for seafood to roast, grill, or smoke. If fried fish is favored, season dry breadcrumbs or flour with some Creole! It is highly recommended that you try the dishes that spawned these heavenly creations: Jambalaya and Gumbo.
