Guilt free, sugar free may not sound luxurious, but these Date Brownies defy the healthy dessert stereotype. We're confident after one taste you'll agree these nutrient rich date brownies are as rich and delicious as ever.
Ingredients
*yields 8 brownies at 200 calories each
- 20 Pitted Dates
- 2 Eggs
- 3 tbsp Cacao Nibs
- ½ cup of All Purpose Flour
- 5 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Cacao Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Himalayan Pink Salt Fine
- 10-12 Raw Almonds & Raw Pistachios
Instructions
- Soak the dates and almonds warm water for 10 minutes
- Blend to a paste
- Melt the butter and Cacao Nibs together
- Add eggs one at a time
- Add the date and nut paste
- Sift the cacao powder, flour, salt and baking powder
- Mix well and bake in a 350F preheated oven for 30 minutes
- Garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds!
